CIHEAM and UfM work together for mainstreaming gender in Covid-19 recovery responses of agro-food sectors and rural areas

In the framework of the 5th Women4Mediterranean high level conference of the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) on the theme “Accelerating gender equality in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic” that was held online between 16 and 20 November, the International Centre for Advanced Mediterranean Agronomic Studies (CIHEAM) has organised with the UfM a side event entitled “Mainstreaming Gender in Covid-19 Recovery Responses of Agro-Food Sectors and rural Areas”.

Innovations pour améliorer la durabilité des secteurs ovin et caprin : Cours de formation et Atelier iSAGE

Le projet européen iSAGE (Innovation pour la durabilité de la production ovine et caprine en Europe) organisera un cours et un atelier de diffusion intitulés “Innovations pour améliorer la durabilité des secteurs ovin et caprin” à l'Institut Agronomique Méditerranéen de Zaragoza (IAMZ-CIHEAM) du 10 au 13 décembre.

New advanced course on the application of epidemiology in aquatic animal health

From 25 February to 1 March 2019, CIHEAM Zaragoza will be organizing an advanced course for professionals on the application of epidemiology in aquatic animal health. The course will involve international expert lecturers and is organized with the collaboration of the EU H2020 funded project MedAID.

New advanced course on livestock and climate change

From 11 to 15 February 2019, CIHEAM Zaragoza together with FAO, the GRA (Global Research Alliance on Agricultural Greenhouse Gases), ICARDA (International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas), the Red REMEDIA (Scientific network for greenhouse gas mitigation in the agroforestry sector) and the 4 per 1000 will be organizing an advanced course for professionals on Livestock and climate change, assessment of emissions, mitigation options and adaptation strategies.

The European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) today visited CIHEAM Institute in Zaragoza (IAMZ-CIHEAM) which is one of the longest standing international organizations with a permanent office in Spain.
