ADMISSION AND REGISTRATION
The Master is open to candidates of any nationality who have the academic level qualifying them to carry out postgraduate studies in their country of origin, or the equivalent to 240 ECTS credits of undergraduate studies. The Master is held biennially, so candidates can enrol in the first part of the programme every two years.
The Master is designed for students complying with the following conditions:
- University degree related with the topic of the Master; preference will be given to graduates in Marine Science, Biology, Agronomy, Fisheries, Economics, Administration, Business Management and Law. Candidates with professional experience in the specialist topics will be given preference.
- Knowledge of Spanish, which will be the working language. From July to September, an intensive Spanish language course is organized for those students who may need it. At the end of this course, students must achieve a B1 level equivalent to that laid down in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
- Knowledge of English, since part of the Master documentation may be written in this language. This knowledge must be credited by an A2 level certification, equivalent to that laid down in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), or equivalent level in their country of origin’s certifications. If necessary, this accreditation may be replaced by a written comprehension test of scientific English to those pre-admitted not providing such certification.
The Master is open to candidates of any nationality who have the academic level qualifying them to carry CIHEAM organise an intensive online Spanish course between July and September of the year corresponding to the beginning of the first part of the Master, for those participants who require it.
Registration
Registration fees for each academic year amount to approximately EUR 2200*. For candidates wishing to attend part of the course, the fees will be proportional to the credits they register for.

- The application period for CIHEAM scholarships is open from the end of February to the beginning of May of the year corresponding to the beginning of the first part of the Master. For the 2025-2027 edition, applications for these scholarships must be submitted before May 4, 2025 to the following address: https://admission.iamz.ciheam.org/es/
