CIHEAM Zaragoza takes part in the EU-funded IPMWORKS project with the aim of demonstrating and promoting cost-effective Integrated Pest Management (IPM) strategies. The intergovernmental organisation is involved in communication and dissemination activities, ensuring that project's results are transferred to a maximum audience of relevant stakeholders.
As a result of this involvement, CIHEAM Zaragoza has produced "IPMWORKS in a minute", a series of one-minute videos presenting the views and opinions of some of the main actors of the IPMWORKS project on topics such as the impact of IPM-based cropping strategies on pest control, or the challenges in expanding the adoption of IPM by European farmers.
The one-minute clips, available on YouTube, are highlights of longer interviews carried out by CIHEAM Zaragoza during the second IPMWORKS Annual Meeting in Nyon (Switzerland). The full version can be read on the project's website.
Some examples of "IPMWORKS in a minute" below:
- “Farmers need to see integrated pest management in action in real farms” - Nicolas Munier-Jolain, Project's coordinator
- “IPM provides a profitable way of growing food that is healthy both for the consumer and the environment” - Eduardo Crisol, Hub coach within the IPMWORKS network
