ANIMAL NUTRITION: 07-08; 09-10; 11-12

ANIMAL BREEDING AND REPRODUCTION BIOTECHNOLOGY: 07-08; 09-10; 11-12

INTEGRATED PLANNING FOR RURAL DEVELOPMENT AND ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT: 08-09; 10-11; 12-13

AGRO-FOOD MARKETING: 07-08; 09-10; 11-12

AQUACULTURE: 08-09; 10-11; 12-13

FISHERIES ECONOMICS AND MANAGEMENT: 08-09; 10-11; 12-13

These courses are essentially aimed at graduates in the process of attaining a postgraduate specialization. They are structured in independent units to facilitate the attendance of professionals interested in partial aspects of the programme. Participants fulfilling academic requirements may opt to continue for a 2nd year for the obtention of the Master of Science Degree. The deadline for submission of applications for the courses on Plant breeding, Integrated planning for rural development and environmental management, Aquaculture and Fisheries economics and management is 2nd May 2008. The deadline for submission of applications to participate in the course on Olive growing and oil technology is 15th April 2009. The deadline for submission of applications to participate in the courses on Animal nutrition, Animal breeding and reproduction biotechnology and Agro-food marketing is 2nd May 2009.

The short duration courses are aimed preferably at researchers and professionals whose work is related to the subject matters of the courses. The registration period for these short courses will finish ninety days before the starting date of the course.

Scholarships. Candidates from CIHEAM member countries (Albania, Algeria, Egypt, France, Greece, Italy, Lebanon, Malta, Morocco, Portugal, Spain, Tunisia and Turkey) may apply for scholarships covering registration fees, and for scholarships covering the cost of travel and full board accommodation during the course. Candidates from other countries who require financial support should apply directly to other national or international institutions.

Nevertheless, in some of the courses jointly organized with other institutions, scholarships may be awarded for candidates of some non-CIHEAM member countries. It is advisable to consult the corresponding scholarship section in the information leaflet specifically provided for each course programmed.

Information and registration. The information leaflets of each course are published 6-8 months before the beginning of the course. Both information leaflets and application forms may be obtained from IAMZ or directly from the web site.
